Molybdenum Disc (Moly circle) & Square have a similar low coefficient of thermal expansion to silicon, but better machining properties.

Based on this reason, it is usually used for heat dissipation as an electronic component of high-power and high-reliability semiconductors, contact materials in silicon-controlled rectifiers diodes, transistors, and thyristors (GTO), mounting material for power semiconductors, heat sink bases in IC, LSI, and hybrid circuits.

We provide both coated (coating: Ru, Rh, Ni, Ag, Au, etc.) molybdenum discs & uncoated disc and square.

We can also provide TZM Alloy disc and Mo-La alloy disc. The price for pure molybdenum is lower than TZM alloy and Mo-La Alloy causing the machining and sintering process.

About Molybdenum

Molybdenum is used for its extremely high melting point and relative flexibility. Molybdenum has a melting point of 2,623 °C. Molybdenum has a high elastic modulus, and only tungsten and tantalum have higher melting points. Typical applications for Molybdenum are crucibles, evaporation boats, propulsion components, x-ray tube, lighting industry, glass melting electrodes, high-temperature furnaces, sputtering targets, heat sinks, heating elements, electrodes, stirrers, orifice plates, support members, mandrels, shields, sintering trays, filaments, furnace windings, thermocouple sheaths, nose cones, nozzles, jet tabs, contacts, brazing fixtures, boring bars, tools, heat radiation shields, cathodes, and aircraft and missile parts and nuclear energy applications where high-temperature resistance is crucial.

Packaging for our Moly disc and square

The standard package for moly, TZM alloy, Mo-La disc is wooden crate, so that goods can be protected during handling and transportation. Small discs and squares will be appropriately packed in cartons.
