Molybdenum Strip & Foil

Category:

Molybdenum strip can be used in lighting, vacuum coating, and semi-conductor fields. Moly strip is rolled from the sheet and plate.

provides molybdenum coils, foils, and flat strips. The size can be customized. The materials are pure molybdenum and molybdenum lanthanum. TZM alloy has high hardness, so generally thin products cannot be provided.

Common Applications of Molybdenum
Industrial Vacuum Furnace Parts: Due to its high melting point, molybdenum is used as heating elements and heat shields in vacuum furnaces.
Steel Additives: Molybdenum is used to enhance the strength, corrosion resistance, and durability of structural and stainless steels, especially in marine environments.
High-temperature Alloy Additives: Molybdenum is used to enhance the strength and hardness of high-speed steels and high-temperature alloys as well as their resistance to wear and deformation at high temperatures. These are used in drilling and cutting tools, jet engines, and power generation turbines.
Cast Iron and Automotive Alloy Additives: Small amounts of molybdenum are used to increase the strength, hardness, and temperature, and pressure tolerance of cast iron and steel used in automotive engines.
Catalysts: A large portion of molybdenum is used in chemicals, primarily as a catalyst in petroleum refineries.
Thin Films: Due to its high melting point, high electrical conductivity, and high coefficient of thermal expansion, molybdenum is used in a variety of electronic devices.

About Molybdenum

Molybdenum is used for its extremely high melting point and relative flexibility. Molybdenum has a melting point of 2,623 °C.

Straight strip

Molybdenum has a high elastic modulus, and only tungsten and tantalum have higher melting points. Typical applications for Molybdenum are crucibles, evaporation boats, propulsion components, x-ray tube, lighting industry, glass melting electrodes, high-temperature furnaces, sputtering targets, heat sinks, heating elements, electrodes, stirrers, orifice plates, support members, mandrels, shields, sintering trays, filaments, furnace windings, thermocouple sheaths, nose cones, nozzles, jet tabs, contacts, brazing fixtures, boring bars, tools, heat radiation shields, cathodes, and aircraft and missile parts and nuclear energy applications where high-temperature resistance is crucial.

Packaging for our Moly strip & foil

The standard package for strip is wooden crate, so that goods can be protected during handling and transportation. The carton package is for small rolls of strips.
