Fine tubes
Non-Ferrous Crucible Inc. provides pure tungsten and tungsten alloy tubes with customized specifications used at high temperatures. We also provide pure tungsten tubes with one end sealed for use as thermocouple protective sheaths. Pure W tube and tungsten alloy tube (90W to 97W alloy) are available on request.
We also offer tungsten rings which are cut from tubes and even H-shaped tubes. The H shape refers to a tube with openings at both ends and spaced in the middle. The spaced position can be adjusted according to customer requirements.
Specifications of our Tungsten tube
Shape | Tube |
Item No. | PM74-T |
Purity | W≥99.95% |
Density | 18.3g/cc to 19.2g/cc |
Process | Sintered or machined from rod |
Size | 20-640mm OD x 50-1000mm length |
Fine tubes | 3.0-20mm diameter x 50-300mm length |
Surface | Grinding, Finish turning |
Production process: Isotactic pressing – Intermediate frequency sintering – Machining – Finishing.
Similar to the tungsten crucible, a tube with OD>80mm is made by sintering while small tubing is made by drilling from a rod or cylinder. The density of the sintered W tube will be a bit smaller than that of forged rods. The price for a sintered one will be lower for 80-100mm OD tubes, which can be made both ways.
Protective sheaths for thermocouples
Tungsten is a metal with many notable properties, including:
Melting point
Tungsten has the highest melting point of all metals at 3,410 °C (6,170 °F).
Tensile strength
Tungsten has the highest tensile strength at temperatures above 1,650 °C (3,002 °F).
Thermal expansion
Tungsten has the lowest coefficient of linear thermal expansion of all metals.
Density
Tungsten is the heaviest engineering material with a density of 19.25 g/cm3.
Corrosion resistance
Tungsten is resistant to nitric, hydrofluoric, and sulfuric acid solutions.
Brittleness
Tungsten is brittle at room temperature but can be made ductile by working it mechanically at high temperatures.
Uses
Tungsten is used in many applications, including incandescent light bulbs, arc-welding electrodes, heating elements, and tungsten carbide.
We are very familiar with our customer’s requirements regarding tungsten product quality, therefore we produce and deliver products with high purity and long service life.
Non-Ferrous Crucible Inc. began offering Tungsten and other refractory metals products years ago. We specialize in providing worldwide customers with all types of Tungsten fabricated products (such as crucibles, rod and bar, sheet and plate, etc.), heavy alloys that are mostly used as weights and shielding, composites (such as CuW, and AgW) that are used for electrode contacts, and carbide alloy using as tools.
Length limitation for tubes with different ODs will be different. Contact us at inquiry.crucible@winnewtech.com for inquiries and more information on tungsten.
Packing of tungsten metal parts
Tungsten products are fragile and heavy, careful handling is needed. The standard package for goods is a wooden crate so that the materials can be protected during handling and transportation. Carton is also used for short and small tubes.
