Molybdenum plates are widely used in electronics, lighting, vacuum coating, medical devices, semiconductor glass fiber and electrodes, heaters, and heater shielding in vacuum resistance furnaces.

TZM Alloy Plate

Non-Ferrous Crucible Inc. (ETI) offers forged and rolled molybdenum plates. Forged plates are usually thicker and thick plates are also called blocks. Round plates are also called discs or circles.

We can also provide TZM alloy plates and Mo-La alloy plates. Pure molybdenum plates are less expensive than TZM alloy plates and Mo-La alloy plates because of the processing and sintering required.

About Molybdenum

Molybdenum is used for its extremely high melting point and relative flexibility. Molybdenum has a melting point of 2,623 °C. Molybdenum has a high elastic modulus, and only tungsten and tantalum have higher melting points. Typical applications for Molybdenum are crucibles, evaporation boats, propulsion components, x-ray tubes, the lighting industry, glass melting electrodes, high-temperature furnaces, sputtering targets, heat sinks, heating elements, electrodes, stirrers, orifice plates, support members, mandrels, shields, sintering trays, filaments, furnace windings, thermocouple sheaths, nose cones, nozzles, jet tabs, contacts, brazing fixtures, boring bars, tools, heat radiation shields, cathodes, and aircraft and missile parts and nuclear energy applications where high-temperature resistance is crucial.

Packaging for our Moly plates

The standard package for Mo plate, TZM alloy plate, and Mo-La plate is a wooden crate so that the goods can be protected during handling and transportation.
